Conditional Aging Inmate Release
Prisons can have trouble properly handling all the health and safety requirements for aging inmates. This bill would allow for release of an inmate who is aged 65 and older if they have served at least ten years of their sentence, were considered to not be a threat to society, and a host of other requirements so as to not cause undue suffering. SB 574 failed to make it through the committee process.
