Searches of Celllar Phones and Other Electronic Devices

Cell phones and home assistant devices such as the Amazon Echo have become increasingly complex and now contain information such as location tracking and the ability to listen in to conversations in addition to texts, emails, and browsing history. These bills would require a warrant before law officers could search for this information. Neither the House nor Senate version made it to a vote on the chamber floor.
